Aquanow and SGB Partner to Bridge Fiat and Digital Asset Banking
Aquanow, a Canadian digital asset infrastructure provider, has joined forces with SGB, a Bahraini digital bank licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, to streamline fiat banking access for institutional players in the crypto sector. The collaboration leverages SGB's unique status as the only MENA-region bank permitted to onboard clients globally through digital channels.
The partnership enables Aquanow's clientele—including crypto exchanges, payment processors, and fintech firms—to establish USD accounts and execute settlements via SGB's SWIFT-connected network. Transactions will operate around-the-clock across eight major currencies, with seamless crypto-fiat conversions facilitated through SGB's proprietary payment platform.
"Institutional adoption demands compliant infrastructure, not just access," said Aquanow CEO Phil Sham. The alliance represents a strategic MOVE to address growing demand for hybrid financial solutions as digital assets become embedded in mainstream finance.
